While the National Association for Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) works to remove all barriers of racial discrimination to ensure that the educational and political equality of minority group citizens is maintained to eliminate prejudice, Gov. DeSantis signs a bill to limit and opens up new guidelines involving race-based discussions in schools and businesses.

NAACP upholds that the request for travel advisory that shoots from Gov. DeSantis’ legislation concerning race, gender identity, diversity, equity, and inclusion. Isaiah Rumlin, the Jacksonville Chapter President says that the civil rights organization must take a stand. He feels that when implemented, this legislation will have a vast impact on the economy of Florida State.

In an ad shared by his wife last year, the governor’s re-election campaign suggested that he was chosen for this mission by the creator of the universe.

The ad stated, “On the eighth day, God looked down on His planned paradise and said, ‘I need a protector’. So God made a fighter.”

Mocking the Bible and Jesus Christ in one go, what DeSantis is suggesting is that six or seven days were not enough for God to create the world, he needed an extra eighth day to make ‘DeSantis’ to save an immoral America.

This campaign by DeSantis is being shamed for its religious content. It is being looked down upon for being the “gospel of the Ron DeSantis re-election campaign.”

The move is looked down upon by the faithful as a new low in zero-sum politics, especially coming from a public servant. It is pertinent to note that while DeSantis has called for imposing death sentences even when jurors oppose the punishment, the Catholic Church is speaking out against a GOP push to expand the death penalty.

DeSantis’s point of view clashes with the church. In light of the Gospel, the Church instructs that “the death penalty is inadmissible because it is an attack on the inviolability and dignity of the person.” Moreover, the encyclical signed and released by Pope Francis in October 2020, cemented and ratified the position of the Catholic Church as opposed to the ‘Death Penalty.’

The U.S. Foreign Policy

In spite of who occupies the White House, the foreign policy of the United States must protect the interest of the Americans. The president must unequivocally advance democracy, human rights, and other American interests across the world. He should unfailingly promote American Values and Policies.

The three most prominent goals of the US foreign policy must obviously include security, prosperity, and the creation of a better world. The protection of America’s interests and its citizens is primary. It is a perennial concern, although America has tried to achieve security in different ways all through in the recent past.
