  • Knight of Bonaria, Humanitarian, and Presidential Candidate Says “Cease-Fire” for a Better World

West Palm Beach, Fl – March 5, 2007 – After President Bush’s lack of response for Daniel Imperato’s cease-fire request, the 2008 Presidential Candidate rose up today to call on the Sunnis, Shiia, and Kurds to implement a voluntary cease-fire.

“Today I call on the people of Iraq, specifically the Sunnis, Shiia, and Kurds to stand up for what’s right. Many lives are being lost and its time that we do something about it,” stated Imperato.

When asked why he has been so adamant about his cease-fire request, Imperato pointed to human nature.

“I am a human being. To see other human beings being killed everyday pains me. Sometimes sacrifices are necessary but Iraq is militarily under control. We must cease-fire, return to the bases, and replenish our resources. America has to show that we can be leaders and most importantly, humanitarians.”

Imperato is also a Knight for the Orden Bonaria, one of the world’s oldest humanitarian organizations, going back to the 13th Century.

Imperato concluded his statements with the following, “For the past year I have been calling for cease-fire. Our administration has ignored the people’s call for cease-fire and now its time to take cease-fire directly to the people of Iraq. I am the people’s president and I feel that it is my duty to stand up for all of the people, including our soldiers.”

  • Imperato Calls It Again: Democrat Senator Hillary Clinton 501(c)3 Charity Scheme Exposed

West Palm Beach, FL – March 2, 2007 – After calling for reform to the charitable trust industry in America, the Washington Post reported that Hillary Clinton failed to disclose a family charity she operates , with former president Bill Clinton, that has enabled the couple to write off more than US $5 million in taxable income since 2001.
Daniel Imperato, leading Independent Presidential Candidate, called for a reform of the charitable system as early as August of 2006, during a C-SPAN 2 Broadcasted press conference.
He subsequently called for further reform in a December 2006 press release where he said, “I, Daniel Imperato, on December 22, 2006 stand up to the American people to say I’ve had enough. The tax deductible funds are a diversion from the billionaires and the United States of America’s income tax payments, allowing tax deductible contributions to go to private foundations under their control , without any government scrutiny, watching the distribution of funds , or guaranteeing that the tax deductible contributions are being spent properly.”
This statement came on the heels of the formation of the Greenberg Charitable Fund where three billionaires (Greenberg, Gates, and Buffet) contributed an estimated $75 billion, for tax-free charitable purposes.
“Whether its Bill Gates, or Hillary Clinton, everyone needs to support the system and support America. The financially wealthy in this country are putting their money into tax write offs with no oversight. While the wealthy are supporting their own charitable trusts to get extra tax write offs they are taking away from the real charity that America should be supporting, Social Security.”
Imperato supports putting capped contributions on unregulated charitable trusts and designating the only uncapped charity as the Social Security Fund.
Upon an Internal Revenue Service review, the Clinton Family Foundation gave grants to the following entities: Yale University, where both Hillary and Bill attended law school; groups named for d eceased heads of state in Israel and Jordan; and a charity connected to the Arkansas businessman who helped Hillary Clinton make $100,000 on a commodities trade a decade ago.
Several high-profile US politicians have come under scrutiny for omitting family foundations from their financial disclosure reports, including former Senate majority leader Bill Frist, a Republican, and house Speaker Nancy Pelosi, a Democrat.
“The evidence is clear. There are so many people who should be placing their money back into the Social Security System for the people of America. While our elected leaders and billionaires have their retirement, Americans across the country have to deal with an inadequate Social Security system that forces them to work in their old age.”
Imperato concluded his statements with the following, “Once again, I have brought to light a problem that has been brewing in the shadows for a long time. I want the American people to know that I have the ability to not only see the problems of this country , but I have the ability to solve the problems. I am a man of facts and solutions. I stand up to the American people to say that when you look at your next president, vote for someone who is about facts and solutions, Vote for Daniel Imperato.”

  • Daniel Imperato, The Next President, Remarks on Pelosi, Larry King, One Trillion in Debt and Calls for Peace Activist Support for Cease Fire

West Palm Beach, FL – March 2, 2007 – After a recent Nancy Pelosi interview on CNN’s Larry King Live, 2008 Presidential Candidate , Daniel Imperato, spoke out on the Iraq war, its $400 billion price tag, and his call for cease fire.
“I call on the American people, once again , to accept my potential inaccuracy about the $400 billion price tag for the war in Iraq, that has been paid by our taxpayers. In accordance with the interview that I heard with Nancy Pelosi on Larry King Live, Pelosi stated if America were to stop this war today it would have cost us $1 trillion,” said Imperato.
Previous estimates for the cost of the Iraqi war were in the $400 billion range. With the cost of the war rising, Imperato felt the only solution was to call for a cease fire.
“I believe that the American people must realize that the only quick solution to the problem is to cease fire , and to stop the bloodshed. All of the politicians are talking about withdrawal, but none of them are heeding my call of cease fire.”
In addition, Imperato reiterated his position on US taxpayer repayment for the Iraq war.
“Please look to my previous press releases about the repayment of money to the US through the Iraqi parliament’s considering to divide Iraqi oil revenues by three, when it should be four.”
On February 27, after the announcement of Iraq’s National Oil Revenue Sharing program, Imperato commented, as before, that America should also be part of a revenue sharing, or oil discount program, to repay the $400 billion debt.
“It is outrageous to think that the American taxpayers are losing money, and soldier’s lives. Now the radicals can finance their weapons to kill American soldiers through the utilization of stolen oil ,, which now is being considered to be split up between three groups, (Sunnis, Shiia, and Kurds) but , it has been forgotten that $1 trillion of that belongs, in my opinion, to the USA.”
Lastly, Imperato felt the peace activists can help spread the call for a cease fire for the Iraqi Conflict.
“This is an outrage, please America call for a cease fire. Peace activists, support my call for cease fire. I call on all the peace activists worldwide to demonstrate and protest the war in Iraq and to demand a cease fire immediately. We have a duty as Americans to be leaders, and now we must show the world we can be leaders of peace. However to have peace , we need someone to lead the way. I, Daniel Imperato, am here to be the people’s president, to lead the way for our country, our peace, and our children.”

  • Presidential Candidate Imperato, Reform Party Frontrunner, Calls on the American People Once Again on Iraq Oil Legislation

West Palm Beach, FL – February 27, 2007 – After yesterday’s “breakthrough” oil revenue distribution deal reached by the Iraqi Cabinet, US Presidential Candidate Daniel Imperato called on the people to remember his stance on Iraqi oil , and the repayment of American taxpayers.

“Once again I call on the American people to recognize the request that I have been making for over one year. I have asked for our administration to cease fire in Iraq, pull back the troops to our bases, and to renegotiate with Nouri al-Maliki on behalf of our taxpayers, and our American soldiers.”

Imperato supports an Iraqi oil discount program in order to offset the cost of Iraq’s liberation and reconstruction that has been incurred by the United States.

On Monday Night, Zalmay Khalilzad, the US ambassador in Baghdad, announced that the Iraqi Cabinet had approved a national oil revenue sharing plan that would involve the Sunnis, the Shiia, and the Kurds.

“Today I call on what I believe is a two sided coin. Zalmay Khalilzad has welcomed a deal that Iraq has approved, in draft, concerning oil legislation. This is great. The Iraqis approve a draft oil legislation that needs to be approved by the Iraqi Parliament identifying the split up of oil revenues in three groups, basically protecting the Sunnis, the Shiia, and the Kurds.”

It was unclear what concessions led to the compromise, and the precise terms of the deal were not immediately available. The United States has been exerting considerable pressure on Iraqi leadership for months to reach the accord, and one Sunni politician said Monday night that the deal had been brokered by Khalilzad himself.

The deal also opened the door for what the Los Angeles Times called, “a bonanza for foreign oil companies”, through international investment provisions in the Iraqi oil industry.

However, there was one group that Imperato felt was left out of the new Iraqi oil deal.

“Guess What. They forgot America. I stand up today to request our administration to demand an inclusion of the draft oil legislation agreement. Iraq must include the missing link, the fourth party to its oil deal, the United States of America and its taxpayers. The taxpayers must be paid back the $400+ billion it has invested in the Iraqi government.
This must be done before the parliament can even consider bringing this piece of legislation to the table. The American people need to yell loud and clear, and the administration needs to listen.”

In Washington, White House spokesman Tony Snow called a new oil law the “key linchpin” in Iraq’s recovery because it gives “everybody a shared economic interest in working together.”

There was no comment from Snow as to why the United States taxpayers were not involved in the deal.

“It is the perfect time for our President to negotiate a payback structure for the United States while the parliament of Iraq is considering approving this legislation. I cannot believe that our administration and the people of the United States are allowing our administration to lead us down a rosy path of darkness with no repayment plan in sight. This is unacceptable.”

Imperato concluded his remarks with the following, “That’s why I should by your next president. I will protect the people of the United States first. I will draw the line in the sand with leaders of countries who have enjoyed the help from America and to date have not returned the favor. It’s time the American people are paid back for their help. It’s time that the American leadership negotiates in good faith with the world on behalf of the people of the United States of America.”

  • Presidential Hardliner Imperato Asks America about Looks and Pocketbooks

West Palm Beach – February 26, 2007 – Today 2008 Presidential Candidate Daniel Imperato pointed out the barrage of media coverage for Democrat and Republican Presidential Candidates, but not for Independents.

“Its time that the American people stand up and demand that Washington reforms ballot access guidelines, to enable an independent president to place himself on the ballot to run for the White House. It also may be time for the people to elect our president directly in a national popular vote and not an electoral vote.”

Imperato encouraged the American people to look at the substance behind the Democrats and Republicans and not just at the flashy media appearances.

“People of the United States, don’t be fooled by looks, because they only run skin deep. You need to look inside these presidential candidates and take their temperature. Look at their background. Look at what they’ve achieved, and analyze their ability to change course for the United States, and its people. Would you put your children’s lives in the hands of these candidates?”

“Beauty is only skin deep. You can’t judge a man’s success through his wallet. Forget the pocketbook and stop giving money to the ‘polished-ticians’, the same Democrats and Republicans that spend freely with no solution in sight. Don’t vote for pocketbooks or good looks. Vote for substance. Vote for leadership that you, the American people would bet your children’s lives on.”

In addition, Imperato felt that the American people should support him so that we can move the election process beyond the high spending and planned appearances, to give political access to all.

“This country, and its election process, have become about good looks and large pocketbooks. I say ask yourself, who is your president, or who is your next president? I ask the American people to save their money, and to give me their vote. Help me get ballot access in the USA through going to my website, and to register as an independent voter.

Imperato also pointed to America’s rising national debt, and one of the more notable Americans who tried to do something about it, Ross Perot.

“I also have requested the nomination of the Reform Party, the party which was driven by Ross Perot. The facts are clear and the solutions are there. However, it takes leaders to draw the line in the sand, look at the facts, and bring solutions. Ross Perot told his country that America’s debt was climbing. At that time it was $4.5 trillion and he told America that they must listen. The country didn’t listen and now we are $9 trillion in debt, double the amount.”

“In addition Ross Perot laid out for the American people a clear fact and understanding of the future of America’s corporate world sending our jobs overseas, creating further difficultly because of the loss of jobs in this country. Ross Perot was right.”

Finishing his remarks, Imperato reminded America that this election shouldn’t be about big spending and ‘polished-ticians’, but about creating a better world and a Better America for 2008.

“I, Daniel Imperato, have committed myself to bring Ross Perot’s message back. So please, people of the United States, don’t go for the looks and the pocketbooks. Go for the facts and the solutions. Come to my website ( www.imperato2008.com) and see for yourself. I welcome you to evaluate who your next president is, or will be. What substance does that person bring to the White House? What leadership skills does that person possess to lead the free world? I’m for a better world and specifically a better America.”

“Forget the looks. Vote for the best and forget the rest. In my opinion, the best is someone that knows fact and solutions, someone that acts quickly and gains respect from the entire global community. America needs someone to prove to the people on chart, like Ross Perot did, why the American people should vote for their next president. In my opinion, I should be looked at very seriously because I am the one to draw lines in sand, based on facts and solution.”

  • Imperato for President Recognizes Bush/Afghan for Finally Pointing out the Poppy

West Palm Beach, FL – February 15, 2007 – One year after Daniel Imperato’s first remarks regarding the subject, US President George W. Bush officially acknowledged the presence of the opium poppy as the key to the Taliban resurgence in Afghanistan.

Bush stated that “the United States and our allies will help President Karzai reverse the increase in poppy cultivation that is aiding the Taliban… The Taliban uses drug money to buy weapons — they benefit from this cultivation — and they pay Afghans to take up arms against the government.”

On commenting on the poppy issue, Bush stated, “It’s important, and we’re going to stay focused on the poppy issue.”

What President Bush failed to mention is that Daniel Imperato pointed out this situation going back to his January 5, 2006 press release “Imperato on Bin Laden, Afghanistan, and The Poppy.”

During that release, Imperato stated, “Mark my words once again, that the greatest threat is for al-Qaeda to regain its financial strength, which is directly related to Uncle Poppy. I have addressed this situation in the past, and I stand up for the United States and its people to demand immediate action pertaining to the war chest of Osama Bin Laden’s poppy fields.”

Imperato was further validated by a September 2006 report from the U.N. Office on Drugs and Crime, and its Chief Antonio Maria Costa, and by the subsequent New York Times article, (Gall, Carlotta. ” Afghanistan’s opium harvest at record levels” New York Times. September 3, 2006.)

Still, the Bush administration provided no action, other than to state that Afghanistan was in danger of becoming a full-fledged “narcotics-state”.

At the time, the UN reported that 92% of the world’s opium was coming from Afghanistan.

After today’s comments by President Bush, Imperato stated the following: “I stand out to today to tell the American people that I had stated that the first mission concerning the invasion of Afghanistan should have been breaking the bank and cleaning out the poppy fields. I congratulate Bush on finally listening to and adhering to my strategy. The only problem is that it’s too late. The poppy has been rebuilt. The Taliban is strong again and Al-Qaeda is in full operation.”

After the heels of Bush’s responses to security in East Africa, and Latin American relations, Imperato asked the American people to see that his knowledge of the world qualifies him to make important decisions for our country.

“I ask the American people to look at the facts and the solutions. I am qualified to prepare America for its future stance on the Middle East , and global policy, because of my knowledge of the world and 30 years experience. I have been able to study the business, religious, and political aspects of the governments and the people of these countries. I bring a very unique experience to the table, and hope to have the opportunity to be put into a debate forum, to discuss the facts and solutions to America’s current problems, and to plan what we need to do now, in order to protect us from tomorrow’s dangers.”

Imperato concluded his remarks with the following: “When I become president in 2008, I will be the first independent president of the USA . I fully believe this is needed, and it’s the right time to elect an independent. Please reflect to the facts, and compare my requests for policy back sometime ago, and then look at all of the politicians that are running in 2008. I will leave it to the people of the USA to make a decision. Who was on the ball when it came to these issues? Who spoke up about them? And whose solutions are finally becoming a partial solution of our president? Thank God Bush is finally listening and I thank the American people for allowing me the opportunity to be their servant.”

  • Leading Presidential Candidate Arrives in Philadelphia and Appeals to Labor and the Start of a Third-Party

Philadelphia, PA – February 2, 2007– Today, Presidential Candidate Daniel J. Imperato arrived today in Philadelphia as part of his national campaign tour.

Imperato will be meeting with area business leaders, local media, and local citizens to rally support for his White House campaign.

“The people of Philadelphia are hard working people, who believe in the American economy and American jobs. My job is to help bring back some of the faith in our economy for our working class people,” stated Imperato.

Imperato was most recently in Washington DC, where he met with key members of organized labor.

Organized labor is a group that has consistently shown the need for a third party, but has instead thrown scattered support to various groups including the Democratic Party and Ralph Nader of the Green Party, both of which have not advanced the cause of labor.

Due to mishaps within the labor party and the rise of Political Action Committees (PAC’s), organized labor has yet to realize a unifying third party that could win the majority of the electorate.

“The need for a third option in America is real. However, we haven’t had one that is able to win. We need a third candidate that American can believe in and vote for. I believe that the Independent Party is that option and I believe that I am the candidate that can show America that an independent can win the majority of the vote,” stated Imperato.
Imperato felt that he understands the position of everyday Americans who have to struggle and work harder to make less.

“I invite the out-of-touch politicians to walk a mile in the shoes of the hard working people of Philadelphia, and of the hard working people across this country. The fact is I come from a very humble background and I’ve walked in the shoes of everyday Americans, and I’m proud of it. In 2008, I am going to keep walking in those shoes, for every man, woman, and child in America, all the way to the White House.”
