  • America Mourns Loss of Hall of Fame Broadcaster Curt Gowdy

West Palm Beach, FL – For Decades, he was the smooth voice that brought us Ted Williams’ last home run, the first Super Bowl, the NBA Game of the week, and countless other memorable moments in sports history.

On Monday, America lost its voice, it lost Curt Gowdy.

Described by Howard Cossell as “The best all-purpose play-by-play announcer in broadcast”, Gowdy embodied more than just sports, he embodied the human spirit.

Even those who grew up listening to Gowdy could sense his good nature.

Among those who listened to Gowdy as he called the Boston Red Sox games from 1951-1965, was 2008 Presidential Candidate and Boston native, Daniel Imperato (www.daniel2008.com), who came to know the Gowdy family in his later days.

“Curt Gowdy is an American icon, and an American hero. He brought sports into the living room of every home in America,” stated Imperato.

Imperato also wanted to send his condolences to the families during their difficult time.

“My heart goes out to the family of Mr. Gowdy, who has my deepest sympathies. Curt Gowdy was a great man, and will be missed by all,” expressed Imperato.

Curt Gowdy, who died Monday, worked the broadcast booths at 13 World Series, 16 All-Star baseball games, numerous Rose Bowls and the 1976 Montreal Olympics.

In 1966, he spent 10 years as NBA’s announcer for its game of the week and also was the president of the Basketball Hall of Fame for several years.

Gowdy was inducted into the American Sportscaster’s Hall of Fame in 1985 and the Curt Gowdy State Park was established between Laramie and Cheyenne in 1971.

Gowdy was honored in a pregame ceremony at Fenway Park last Aug. 28. A funeral is scheduled for Saturday at Boston’s Trinity Church.

  • Imperiali Organization Announces Caribbean and International Banker Steve Lopez to Global Advisory Team

New York, NY – Today Imperiali Organization announced that Caribbean and International Banker Steve Lopez will be joining the company’s global advisory team.

“I am very excited to be working with such a credible group as the Imperiali Organization. I believe that there are many doors that can be opened both here in America as well as around the world,” commented Lopez.

Lopez brings over 35 years of international banking experience to the table from organizations such as First Fidelity Bank (Now Wachovia Bank), and Chemical Bank (now JP Morgan Chase).

Most recently, Lopez was the founder and CEO of Banque de Credit et Investissements Inc. in Grenada, West Indies, where he developed a $3 billion portfolio for the bank.

Lopez also feels that banking could open up opportunity for inner city communities which typically have faced challenges in attracting investment and capital.

“I believe it is important that everyone have access to the banking system, especially in the inner-city areas. When communities are given access to the banking and capital system, we will see those communities build up their infrastructure and manufacturing facilities, as well as see those communities thrive because of increased jobs, increased investment, and better educational system as a result of the previous two,” explained Lopez.

Dan Mangru, a director for the company, also expressed his comments for the addition of Lopez.

“The addition of Steve Lopez to our Global Advisory team brings great value and adds a wealth of experience to the team. Mr. Lopez is not only ambitious in his business activity but also shares that same passion with his community. He is a man who always wants to find ways to give back and to help expand opportunity for all. A man of this type of vision is a man that everyone needs in their organization, and we are very excited to have him as a part of ours.”

  • Daniel Imperato “The Peoples President” on President’s Day

West Palm Beach, FL – February 20, 2006 – On the day that we are to remember two of our greatest presidents George Washington and Abraham Lincoln, ‘The People’s President’ Daniel Imperato took the time to recollect what made America great and where America needs to go in order to get back there.

“America has always been the land of the free and the home of the brave, not the land of defeat and the home of the afraid. We are a nation that was built upon character and freedom, and it is during these times that we must rely on that character and freedom to restore our position as the world’s leader,” stated Imperato.

Imperato, a man who has used more than rhetoric, but has utilized his ties around the world to gain support for the United States and mount a substantial campaign for 2008.

“I stand here today, on President’s Day, as one man, a private citizen, and an American. But more importantly, I stand here today with the resolve of our two great presidents Washington and Lincoln and with the support of our nation. The road to recovery and reform will be long and tough, but so was American independence and so was abolition. As Americans, we will stay strong and as Americans we shall endure,” expressed Imperato.

Recently, Imperato has garnered strong international support for his campaign with endorsements from around the world.

“Through my travels around the globe, it has become apparent to me that America is not well-received. We are not well-received out of envy, for the great country that America is. We are not well-received because of the lack of respect that our leadership has shown the world and the lack of understanding that we have of their cultures. We need to recognize that we are in a global society, with global problems, that requires global attention,” explained Imperato.

Imperato finished his statement with the following remarks, “Recently, there have been naysayers that state that a third party candidate cannot be a serious contender. The Democrats and Republicans will not allow somebody outside their culture of corruption to be a leader in America. Well here is what I say to those people. I say that it is about time there was a third party candidate that is not entrenched in favors promised to special interests. I say that the Democrats and Republicans may have the House, and they may have the Senate. But the Democrats and Republicans don’t have the people. And the people is where the power is, and as ‘The People’s President’ all I have to say is one thing…1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, Here We Come!”

    About Daniel Imperato ( www.daniel2008.com )

  • Madrid, Spain: Spanish Citizen Endorses Imperato For President 2008

Madrid, Spain & West Palm Beach, FL – Adding to his international support, Madrid based telecommunications specialist Edelmiro Lopez officially endorsed Daniel Imperato for his United States Presidential bid in 2008.

“When Daniel Imperato asked me to support him, I did not hesitate for a minute. First of all, he is the only man that can change America and correct past mistakes made both by Democrats and Republicans. These are mainly regarding US relationships with other countries and cultures and, in general, their way of developing alliances in the international field,” stated Lopez.

Lopez, who earned his Ph.D. at the University of Madrid, has over 30 years in telecommunications experience and has participated in joint ventures with, worked for, or consulted for companies such as Vivendi, Eurotelecom, Siemens, IBM, and AT&T.

From his global perspective, Lopez felt that America has not been recognized for its efforts to reconstruct Europe post World War II.

“From my European point of view, I wish to thank America for the support given to Europe during World Wars I and II. After more than 60 years of the end of World War II, I found that only a few Europeans recognize and thank the effort carried out by the USA for bringing back freedom to Europe. It is ridiculous to notice the large number of European politicians who still think they are “the world’s navel” and that they do not owe anything to anyone,” explained Lopez.

Additionally, Lopez felt that Imperato understands the key to dealing with the people of the world, respect.

“Daniel has traveled all around and I think he has friends in the last corner of the world. The main reason for having so many friends can be summarized in only one word: respect, respect for any religion, any creed and any way of living,”

The advantage of Imperato’s plan for America was, in Lopez’ opinion, its global perspective and its appeal to all groups of people, including those of Spanish decent.

“His plan looks both outside and inside the USA. As a Spaniard, I feel proud of the Spanish Collectives in America who, after years of effort, have learned how to get a place in all levels of the American Community. It is good to see how they are getting positions of higher and higher responsibility, in industry, commerce, arts and government.”

“Daniel’s plans foresee an important growth in education, social welfare and sanitary Programs. This plan will benefit not only the Spanish Community, but also the American society.”

Lopez concluded his comments with the following, “As told at the very beginning, I sincerely think that Daniel is the man that can introduce the needed changes in the US Government, in good-faith and on behalf of all of us.”

New York, NY – February 14, 2006 – Showing the broad appeal of Daniel Imperato, today, prominent record industry executive Stephen Henderson endorsed Daniel Imperato for President in 2008.

“I think it’s important that everybody gets behind a guy like Daniel Imperato. We need a third voice in this country, someone other than the same old options of Democrats and Republicans,” stated Henderson.

Henderson, a 20 year industry veteran formerly of Motown Records, has worked to promote the careers of artists such as Boyz II Men, Stevie Wonder, Michael Bivens, Queen Latifah, Naughty by Nature, Jay-Z and the late Notorious BIG.

“Music especially plays a role in the lives of everyday Americans. As an industry we need to unite in order to bring someone to the table like Daniel Imperato who can bring our country out of the trouble that it is soon to face,” expressed Henderson.

Imperato, a fan of music, was pleased to see the industry rallying behind his campaign. He felt that music was a key way to reach the youth, a typically underrepresented population.

“I believe that one of the most effective ways to reach our youth is through music and culture. Young people today need to play a more active role in deciding how government influences their lives,” asserted Imperato.

  • Daniel Imperato Announces Nationwide Vice Presidential Search for 2008

West Palm Beach, FL – February 14, 2006 – In his daily address, 2008 Presidential Candidate Daniel Imperato announced that he is conducting a nationwide search for the next Vice President of the United States of America.

“Today, I am taking the next step in achieving our goal of reforming the White House for 2008. I am looking for the man or woman who will become our next Vice President,” stated Imperato.

Imperato stated that he would not use a predetermined ‘litmus test’ in order to select a running mate, and was open to the prospect of a woman running as his Vice President.

“I am not looking for someone that fits a mold; I am looking for someone that is for the people, someone who is good for America,” explained Imperato.

The Vice Presidential search was launched by Imperato in response to state statutes that prohibit an independent candidate securing ballot access without a presidential and vice presidential candidate, a statute that Imperato felt puts third party candidates at a disadvantage.

“How can a third party emerge when the Democrats and Republicans have placed so many obstacles in its way? The fact is that the American people must show the politicians that they can make all the laws and statutes that they want, but they can never suppress the voice of the America people,” proclaimed Imperato.

The statutes, according to Imperato, need to reflect America’s diverse background and allow for open political dialogue.

“Part of our freedom of speech is our ability for political expression. However, when people who are not part of the culture of corruption fostered by Democrats and Republicans, the people are not given the easy opportunity to run for political office and promote their ideas and vision for our nation,” expressed Imperato.

Imperato concluded his remarks with the following, “To the people of the United States of America, I promise you this: I promise you that I will not rest until our voices have been heard. I promise you that we will not quit, until our place has been established in the American political arena. And I promise you that we will have our day in the White House.”

  • Leading Presidential Candidate Imperato Gives Vision To Peace Process through UAE Relation

Abu Dhabi – With civil unrest escalating in the Arab world, 2008 leading, independent, Presidential Candidate, Daniel Imperato, gave his insight as to how to calm down the situation.

“After several hours of discussions pertaining to the Middle East affairs in regards to obscene cartoons and Middle East unrest, I call on the USA and its administration along with its people to realize that cartoons pertaining to the image of Muhammad were completely unjust and inappropriate,” stated Imperato.

Imperato, commenting from the United Arab Emirates, felt that the Danish media and media around the world should retract the cartoon depicting Muhammad and should issue an apology.

“The media and broadcast companies must show more respect and not allow such inappropriate activities within their organizations. The people of the world should realize that cartoons were created for laughter and joy not for war and disgrace. I call on the people of the world to remember the funny cartoons and to allow forgiveness for this great mistake,” asserted Imperato.

In addition to the cartoons, Imperato also suggested that President George W. Bush’s comments made about the Middle East have added to the situation.

“I call on all the people and companies who have participated in this to publicly apologize and ask for forgiveness. In addition, as I have mentioned in the past, the comments made by our president George W. Bush may have caused uncertainty with the Middle East Pertaining to oil supply particularly with Saudi Arabia,” explained Imperato.

Imperato also pointed to inflammatory language used by Condoleezza Rice in her remarks about the Middle East countries, remarks which have only fueled disturbances in the region.

“The additional insult to injury is Condoleezza Rice’s statements with Iran and Syria participating to heat up terrorists and their organizations and to further erupt unrest in the region is totally uncalled for. My question to Condoleezza rice is why use cartoons and inflammatory language to speak out and to attack the collaboration between Iran and Syria when in fact all this does is add fuel to the fire,” asked Imperato.

Imperato called on the American people for their support in this most crucial of times.

“I call on the American people to support me in my efforts as an American citizen and to realize my experience and my wisdom come from hard work. I will have further comments pertaining to my meetings in the UAE and will make statements of clear fact based upon the political landscape and environment seen to the eyes of the people,” said Imperato.

Imperato concluded with the following remarks: “I stand up for the people of the USA, all of the people, all the time. I say peace not war. I say diplomacy not aggression. I ask for our administration and our president along with Condoleezza Rice and Donald Rumsfeld to take the time to understand the landscape of the region and to set aside politics and to remember at the end of the day it’s the people who get hurt.”

  • Imperato Gains Momentum with Endorsement from Middle East Political Expert

London – Today from London Presidential Hopeful Imperato gains support from one of the most intelligent, political minds from the Middle East region, Mr. Nasser Al-Maisary.

Mr. Imperato stated, “The support from Mr. Nasser Al-Maisary comes at a very crucial time in the world. I have known Mr. Al-Maisary for many years and consider him family. His children have been brought up in a fine quality atmosphere and his relatives are first class citizens. Mr. Al-Maisary and his wife have supported me in the UAE for several years in their home and with their families. I consider the Al-Maisary family an extension of my own from the United States of America.”

“Mr. Nasser Al-Maisary and I have been studying the political situation pertaining to the Middle East affairs in the United States of America. We have been discussing, analyzing, and developing our very strong relationship in order to bring to the people of the United States of America a strong collaboration between the US and the Middle East for peace in the region.”

Imperato elaborated by saying that one must have knowledge of the local people from the local people in order to understand local problems.

“I, Daniel Imperato come out to state that it’s better to work with the people you have known for many years and its better to understand their knowledge of the local marketplace. After all they know best,” explained Imperato.

The relationship of Imperato and Al-Maisary is based on trust and respect which is why Imperato feels he will be able to bridge the gap that has existed between the United States and Middle East.

“The relationship with Mr. Al-Maisary is based on trust, confidence, and mutual respect. I look forward to utilizing my strong family ties in the Middle East to develop my strategy, my philosophy, and to execute my plans for the 2008 Presidential Campaign to ensure the United States of America diplomatic solutions in the Middle East, peaceful solutions for existing global problems and to set forth a straight path of resolve to the current situation which has been, in my opinion, mishandled and misunderstood,” stated Imperato.

Imperato also discussed the way that the US is spreading democracy and how people are responding to it.

“While the people of the Middle East support the United States of America and are very proud to have their support and interest in the spreading of democracy, the biggest issue was the delivery of the message and the mechanism in which the United States and the administration have used,” stated Imperato.

Al-Maisary also elaborated on his views on peace between the Middle East, America and the world.

“America has always worked very hard, to put to resolution the problems of the world. This is where we appreciate the American government very much. The American government means well.”

“Many people from the other countries, especially third world countries, are happy for the opportunity to change to real democracy. Many options have been brought by the United States for change but this doesn’t mean that those countries have to be forced by America to change.”

Imperato finished his comments with the following remarks, “I come to stand up with the people of the United States of America as a United States Presidential Candidate to say that I have many years of sound experience, knowledge, understanding of the region and now one of the most important, most intelligent persons, who happens to be one of my best friends will now join my team to deliver the message of the world of peace.”

  • Imperato on the International Effect of Bush’s State of the Union Address

London – February 6, 2006 – Halfway around the world, 2008 United States Presidential Candidate Daniel Imperato meet with his top advisors and learned of the international effect of George W. Bush’s State of the Union address.

“In accordance with ongoing meetings in London discussing my plans and policies for my 2008 campaign and White House seat, I have come to realize that our administration and our president George W. Bush has made a grave mistake pertaining to his State of the Union address recognizing that the United States of America is an oil addict and overly dependent on Middle Eastern oil,” stated Imperato.

While the administration predicted a positive environmentalist reaction towards reduced oil dependency, the Bush administration failed to think of how that statement could strain relations in the region.

“In discussions with my top aides and advisors from the Middle East region, it seems to be that our President George W. Bush has spoken a little bit too soon which may have adverse affects and strains with ongoing relations with the Middle East,” said Imperato.

Imperato felt that this strain in the Middle East/US relations could lead towards other countries to make strong relations in the region.

“The US and its administration has decided that it must pull back from the dependency of Middle Eastern oil which opens up the door for our other superpowers to gleam the supply and to make strong relations with the Middle East to utilize the Middle Eastern oil productions for their country and their own use. Particularly with recent discussions between the royal family of Saudi Arabia and China, the Chinese economy’s strong growth $900 billion in cash, it’s a fact that China could eat up the supply of oil from Saudi Arabia in the event that the US demand goes down.”

“In addition, recent talks between Iran and China and the fact that China could also utilize the supply of oil from Iran, once again makes it a very sticky situation.”

Alternative energy, is a strong priority for Imperato, but he suggested that it be done as a global effort and not to sever relations with the Middle East region.

“While I do agree the world must become less dependent on oil and must utilize alternative methods pertaining to the issues at hand, we must not, as a nation, completely sever the dependency of oil from the Middle East. In my opinion the administration should have never stated their plans which are looks like a pull out of the Middle Eastern region and its oil which could have adverse effects as explained.”

“The strategy pertaining to alternative natural resources for the use of energy and for other uses should be a collaborated effort worldwide and should not be commingled with any region of the world and its dependency and certainly not at this time.”

Imperato concluded his statement with the following remarks, “With the nuclear standoff at hand and the Middle Eastern oil supplies and the fact that other superpowers demand great supplies of oil, this may position the United States of America to lose its place as the superpower of the world and might alienate other countries particularly in the Middle East. It also might assist the growth and strength of other superpowers economies which may create more downturn in the dollar and more discussions pertaining to the Middle East separating itself from the commitment they have to supply the United States of America with oil.”
